About Us

Illumination Dance is a progressive club specializing in Expressive Modern Blues. We also teach Smooth modern jive & Modern jive dance also as our core elements, which allows us to offer various styles of dance including (French Jive) Smooth Jive, Modern jive, Modern Blues, Expressive Modern Blues, WCS, and tango. We will be running regular expressive dance classes during the week at currently St Ives area Nr Cambridge but will be rolled out to other areas in due course. Our workshops, and freestyles are on a regular basis in different locations around the country (all dates and times can be found in our Events Calendar on the main website). Illumination Dance has a crew of experienced and highly qualified dance teachers and crew that are on hand to help and support new dancers to the club, We also have resident DJs; Pete Shillito, DJ Dave, CJ, John, Tracey, Neil + guest DJs. .

23 Years of Experience

CJ our principal teacher has 23 years of dance teaching experience at various locations and clubs around the UK, teaching Modern jive, Modern Blues, and now Expressive dance, with a strong focus on styling and musical interpretation, but he is better known as a very experienced Dips & Drops teacher concentrating on safety within all aspects of his lessons and workshops.    

Team Of Experts

Our team of teachers and demos are trained to the highest standard and are very dedicated to all they do. Our principal teacher is qualified as a teacher-trainer to help enhance our teachers and demos to maintain the high standard you the customer expect. The club is also supported by external teachers and demos to give the club greater variety in the products we offer. 

We offer our customers a professional and fun & safe environment to dance, socialize and perfect their dancing skills.. 

Classes & Events

Illumination Dance & DanceXcess, offer various dance classes, workshops, freestyles, and social nights plus charity nights around the country, mainly around St Ives, Cambridge, Harlow, north London, and the midlands areas, at each of our locations on a regular basis
